December 8 Event

Despite illness keeping a few people away (myself included) it sounds like the December 8 event was a great success. It was held at Round Table Pizza in South Davis and attended by Steve, Jeff, Soren, Anu, Eric, Dagon, Erica, Anthony, and Tomas. Games played included Tsuro, Mission: Red Planet, For Sale, Coloretto, and Small World.  There was talk of getting together again in two weeks, possibly in the rec room of Anu and Soren's apartment complex.  I will set up an event RSVP for that date and fill in the location later once it's confirmed.

    Hi there. Saw your mail on bgg and this looks like fun. If you see any games on my list on bgg you'd like to have me bring, let me know. Otherwise I'll just show up ready to play some games.

    I can bring Endeavor. It has an involved setup, so it would work better if we wind up meeting at my house again. I could set it up in advance if enough people are interested in playing. (I would be. It's fun and interesting, and fairly quick.)

    I'm grison at BGG, and I'm happy to bring anything on my owned list as well.

    A few that might be of interest, depending on group size and mood, include:

    Nexus Ops
    Aquaretto
    Small World
    Pandemic + On the Brink

    I have a bunch more, but nothing really heavy as I mostly play with non/casual gamers. I'm happy to try heavier games myself, though.

    I'm not sure if I'll be able to host the event next Tuesday. I've come down with a head cold and it may not have cleared up enough by then.

    I think we should have a backup plan (S. Davis Round Table?)

    Hope you feel better. If we don't hear from you, let's meet at Round Table unless someone wants to use his/her home.

    As far as games to play, we never really worked out a system so bring what you want. I'll be bringing Mission: Red Planet, Mississippi Queen, Ra, and some smaller games.

    Jeff, it looks like we have pretty similar tastes as I really like Stone Age, Jamaica, Thebes, XXXretto, and Pandemic. Could you bring Small World?

    Yes, I can bring Small World. I'd also be interested in playing any of the ones you mentioned; all three are new to me.
